Don't !

I got it for free on steam I think. Played the game through twice, first time Sir Lora died, and I had his ghost following me around, second time I kept him alive... for nothing. and I certainly did not "Discover how deep the secret of the Great Acorn goes…". nope. I think it shouldn't be allowed to sell that kind of DLC. If you want to buy it: just know that you are only buying (sometyimes funny) dialogues lines for an unimportant secondary character and an unachieved secondary story.

Amusement and Annoyance in Equal Measure

In dialogue: super funny, super well-written, and superb voice acting. In gameplay: super annoying, incredibly poorly coded, and if you're really unlucky, has the potential to break important events, obstruct battles, and set off otherwise avoidable traps. I got it for free with the definitive version, but I definitely wouldn't buy it.

If you enjoy Larian's humor...

I love Sir Lora as an addition to D:OS2, but then, I also enjoy the touches of whimsy and outright silliness that Larian likes to throw into its Divinity series. If that's also something you enjoy, the absurdity of a pompous warrior squirrel tagging along behind you on his undead cat to defeat the Great Acorn is probably for you. If that's just a bit too much levity for how you play your rpgs, then you might want to give this fuzzy knight a miss. It's also important to note that Sir Lora is more atmosphere than mechanic, so it really does matter how you feel about Larian/Divinity's particular brand of humor because this dlc adds relatively little to actual gameplay. I'm fine with that, but again, it's not for everyone.

Best Squirrel EVER

Sir Lora is funny and overall a really hilarius character. His dumb atittude and the fact that he speakes to his undead mount called Qercus is extremely entertaining. He calls you "His shield" (yes, the thing has the nerve to consider you inferior), and Qercus is like the voice of reason for him. Qercus doesn't talk and one has absolutely no idea if it's just Sir Lora making everything up. Qercus is like a skeleton cat btw. I give this DLC a 5/5 because is entertaining, funny and gives several parts of the game an extra vibe. May you all be safe from the great Acorn!
