My new all time favourite top down rpg

So let me start by saying this for people than want a TL;DR of my review......the game is awesome in every way, from story, to combat, to voiceovers, to graphics, loot is awesome. You will not regret buying this game . I have invested 550 hours in it and I ams still playing it and enjoying the heck out of it. There are bucketloads of different ways to play this game so get in it and enjoy. Now the review :D. Let me start with the good: Whoever wrote the main story and the story for each origin character should get his oun monument. It is so good and interesting. Even the smallest sidequest is very well written. You will have so many great, funny, interesting conversations with different characters in this game that is just mindblowing. I would like to tell you more about this but i dont want to put any spoilers here. The turn based combat is also amazing. I never liked turn based combat in games but in this one it is so good. You take your time each turn because there is so many different objects and surfaces to interact with that can help you in different combat scenarios. If you plan your coimbat before actually engaging by investigating the battlefield you will have a blast. It is not necessary to do that to win but it is so much more fun to use surroundings to enhance your abilities or just vreate pure chaos on the battlefield. The sountracks are very atmospheric and beautiful to listen to. The graphics are stunning. Even when you zoom in on the characters. There is such attention to details in this game. Well i wont spend time on this because you can see it from pictures...to think this is an indie developer...this game has better graphics than some AAA titles from huge companies. The bad: Well honestly other than game crashing 2 times on me in all my 550 hours and few minor bugs that you hardly notice...I dont have any other problem with this game. As I said...you will not regret this purchase, unless you just dont like RPG games or top down games.

Excellent game

One of my fav-- Great british voice acting Lots of mods! Lots of replayability Option to play in story mode which is a relaxing difficulty for those who want to play the story

Sinfully amazing

I've always been a big fan of Larian, playing the very first of their Divinity games many years ago. When I heard about the Original Sins, I was quite glad. When I played them, I learned that Larian truly is the best at Isometric RPG's. It's no wonder they are working on Baldurs Gate 3, I don't think anyone else would develop it properly. (Anyone notice something about the Narrarators Voice in the 2nd Original Sin?) ^_^

High expectations probably killed my joy

In combat, I really dislike the camera controls, the cluttered screen that makes targeting hard and the unclear of feedback when using abilities. A simple example is when I try to teleport the enemy healer in front of one of my melee. You can bet that what'll actually happen is that I end up teleporting my melee to, well, where it already was. But still, the camera controls is in the long run what I dislike the most. I move the camera (through clunky controls) so I can (somewhat) get the view I want. Then I use an ability and the camera switches back to the active character. I'd like the same view again for my second attack and so I have to reposition the thing all over again. When it's the enemy's turn, I'd like to hover my mouse to get information while I wait for them to do their boring 30 second routine, but alas, this is all but impossible, because the camera centers on the active enemy, which, of course, runs all around the combat area. Camera controls are annoying when exploring too or when moving into uncharted parts of the map. I want to look ahead and that turns the camera auto-follow feature off. I have to manually turn it back on by moving a hand to the "Home" key. Then there's the last thing. I read dialogue. It's a very important part of my immersion. The following example is the straw that broke the camel's back. There were several similar conversations before this one. So, I get three options to answer a question from an NPC. I do not want to reveal the information asked for. So I choose the rude option three and ask the NPC to, well, to be silent and leave me alone. The NPC laughs it off, and I can try again. Now I can chose only from the other two options. Still, option two lets me avoid the question. The same thing happens again and I am now left with only one dialogue option, the one that reveals the information I do not wish to reveal. This is like bad parenting! I seriously had expected better from this game, my immersion completely ruined.
