Clearly a winner!
I never liked strategy games much, but I did enjoy this one a lot! Especially for the story and the transformatio. :D Clearly recomended from my side.

Epic, funny and fun!
The game works fineon my PC and I'm having a blast! Already on my second playthrough, eager to try all the dialogue options and storylines! The most fun, however, lies in the multiplayer. Even though I've been blasted to smithereens ('cuz I fail dragon skills forever), I always have a good time with my friends who also picked it up. The story is epic, the dialogues are often witty and humorous and the gameplay is addicting as hell (not to the Civ games degree but still), especially in multiplayer. Definately a must-play if you like your games to be fun and engaging>

Worse Divinity game.
Divinity: Dragon Commander is a game with an identity crisis. This game does not know rather it want to be a strategy or an action game as it sucks at being both. The gameplay is split between two modes, conquest and socializing. During conquest it plays like a typical strategy game but is way more easier. All you have to outnumber the enemy and your generals will take care of the rest. You can play the game like a action game by taking a dragon form and fight the enemy army in real time but it is way more inefficient then just sending an army to do the fighting instead. The socializing aspect is just a waste of time and is very boring. You can become friendly with your generals and advisors, Claim a wife, and pass laws. But doing this has little to no affect on the main game and has no consequences. For example their is one point in the game where Lizard adviser will ask you to support making the world have a democratic government where leaders are elected by the people but yet your end goal is still to become emperor. If it is one good thing about this game then it is the look of NPCs. Also just like every Divinity game it has technical issues. This game can't be played at 4k, if you select 3840 x 2160 or higher all the text will disappear. All in all I do not recommend this.

hit and miss
Dragon Commander tries to accomplish too much. It combines rpg, strategy, tactical combat and action elements and in the end most of the game aspects feel swallow. The initial wow! feeling fades off in 1-2 hours and only boredom comes after. The characters and the story may be worth a single playthrough but you are better off if watching the cutscenes on you tube. This title could have been much much better if they had only narrowed down the scope and focused on either the strategy or the rpg element of the game. To my mind it doesnt really worht 40 bucks (and especially not worth the 40 euros they are asking for it on steam in europe)
