Great Game

Bought this for my Asus Eee 900 netbook and it works great.(running a faster SSD than standard) Theres abit of slowdown if running in battery mode, but if you change the battery settings to MAX battery its fine. Well I had this game "back in the day" but never really got into it (too many games and not enough time). I have been playing this for about 3 hours and Im really liking it! Its done in the traditional top down view, has alot of speech and is generally ok. I think the devs are German (if I remember rightly) and there are a couple of typos in the text bits, but nothing that spoils the overall enjoyment of the game. One thing I did notice is there doesnt seem to be the intro included (the man wandering through the woods and finding the white cat, then inside a temple where some Goddess pops out) So not sure yet if any other cut scenes are, well, cut!

Easily in the Top 5 RPG's

I gotta tell you, this was a surprise. I had heard this game being compared to Diablo and Ultima 7. Really didn't think this game had a chance at being that good. But I was wrong, It starts off kind of slow. If you can get past that first town you'll discovery how amazing this game really is. It's so easy to get into and play once you are past that first stupid town. I wouldn't put it above Ultima 7, it does lack any kind of close interaction with items, it also is missing the cool side quests that get you lost in the game. That also makes it easier to follow and keep track of where you are at in the game, like Diablo 2. This certainly is a must play game and easily the top 5 best RPG titles that I've played.

This game is a must-play for RPG lovers

The gaming industry is lacking RPGs like DD. Big, deep and enthralling. The last game I remember spending so much time just to complete the story was Fallout 1. There's no much to say, I enjoy every bit of my time playing DD.

Too buggy for even nostalgic value

Despite the charming music this is a game too riddled with bugs to be worth playing at any price. Freezing on a pointless cut scene, can't save so you have to quit and reload, bizarre game mechanics and some terrible voice acting all contribute to a feeling that it wasn't 79 pence well spent.

Excellent!!!

Long, rich, detaljed fantasy world, excellent atmosphere and gameplay. IMO the best isometric crpg ever!
