How to make it run well:

Modern systems are not very welcoming for this one. Look for "DisciplesGL_1.90" or "Disciples Wrapper v1.90" on moddb. It's simple fix with that. Small Advice. If your cpu goes full tilt within the wrapper check different sub-options from top bar (when running in windowed mode. Mode shortcut: "F4"). Clicking "cold cpu" should solve that. Wrapper also comes with some upscaling and game speed options which is a cool bonus. With that the game has ton of fun to offer in pretty compact package. The only shame is that there aren't many custom maps to download for it. At least good ones. You are better off staying with what's in the package. On sale for 5 buck and below it's a steal.

AWESOME GAME

This game has great style and it is an awesome rpg/strategy style game. This game is an easy one to learn but a very hard one to master. I takes time to master this game and you may never master it. I would recomend this game to anyone looking for a fun and exciting game that will challenge them and last them a while.

great game, quite hard though

This is one of my favourite games of all times. I remember I played it for long hours when I was a teenager. Recently unfortunately there are very few commercial games which are turn based and have interesting fights like this one. Apart for a little shareware game I found on the net (Magic Stones from www.winterwolves.com ), there's really not much else that is: - turn based - with leveling units/avatars - with lots of different units - with lots of magic - with a general RPG character and lots of skills hope more games will come like this one in GOG. Keep up the good work!

Wish I had This Version

I really wish I'd bought the gog release of this game. The Steam version is crap and crashes, well known to have bugs. Buy it here folks.

Disciples 2 Gold

This has been on my list of games to download after playing MANY hours when the game originally released. This is just a pure strategy title from start to finish. The 2d sprite animations and background fantasy art work are arguably the most beautiful done in any game that I've played. This is definitely not an easy game to pass up, nor is it an easy game to beat. Once you get used to the leveling tree and how to master using your lead character, there are still many challenges to overcome. All I can say is save often, because you never know what will attack you out of the fog of war...If you were ever a fan of the might and magic series of strategy titles, this game will not disappoint you!
