Meme Game
First off, if you are not interested in the game's gimmick controls just play another game. The singleplayer quest is extremely underwhelming and you may as well just play any random PS1 action game instead. It's hard to really understand what this game plays like without trying it out so I will attempt to explain the VSIM (mouse arm) controls. The game bills the controls as following your mouse, but what's really happening is more akin to the Mount and Blade series where you perform a gesture+hold click and a move is completed once you release the mouse button. However, in this game, you do not click and you cannot hold a move. Instead, your arm is just free floating. Once a gesture is made it will complete the move, after which it appears to try to recenter on the current position of the mouse. As you can move the mouse much faster than the extremely slow swings of your character, the controls feel very clunky. This is compounded by the fact there are a number of really useless swings you can do, like anything in the low position without crouching. Once you understand the mechanics the VSIM controls are manageable/entertaining on mouse (probably easier on an analog stick) but if you are anything like me you will accidentally do low swings a third of the time rather than what you intended. I played with the Xtended mod to remove the 20 FPS cap. Overall this game is fun once you get the hang of it, but bad considering the poor design of the campaign, the crashes even with a fan patch, and the braindead enemies that just charge at you and seem to have much more HP/damage than you.
