Diablo 1 HD Mod (Belzebub)

The mod is fully playable in English. For other supported languages, localization is partial: while all UI elements remain in English, lore documents and quest content are translated.
Belzebub, or Diablo I HD Mod, is a complex modification for the first installment of the Diablo series, which introduces a number of interesting improvements to the gameplay, a lot of new content and - most importantly - increased resolution.
Belzebub enriches the cult Diablo series with a real mass of intriguing content, presenting it all in HD resolution. The modification adds new locations, missions, spells, skills and monsters, 204 unique items, 170 crafting recipes, several new character classes (Warrior, Sorcerer, Rogue, Necromancer or Barbarian), 28 sets and 105 set items, four difficulty levels available in the single player mode, as well as a host of other gameplay improvements. The developer has also thought of a few additions in terms of interface, support for widescreen, and - as we have already mentioned - full integration with the new Windows systems. There is no denying that there is a lot to it, so every fan of the series, especially of the ‘one’, will undoubtedly not pass by this modification indifferently.

Definitely a Difficulty Mod
This isn't just an HD mod; it enhances the difficulty compared to the base game to the point where it seems unfair at times and requires you to grind a lot more (you have to quit the game and relaunch it just to regrind areas). It looks good but it feels mindnumbingly hard at times just to pass a floor when it used to be far easier in vanilla. So, don't listen to the reviews when they merely label this as an HD mod when Belzebub makes the game thrice as hardcore and has other gameplay changes.

Finally fun again
I had Diablo in the day. I didn't know Beezebub before, but this is the stuff. I played for hours the first day.

Its like whole new game!
Loving it! It expands Diablo on so many levels that it feels like a new game. Superb additions, cant get enough of it.
