Twenty years after the events depicted in the multi-award-winning Deus Ex, the world is just beginning to recover from The Collapse. As an elite agent-in-training, you must match wits against numerous militant factions bent on violently reshaping the world to suit their own agendas. Armed with a multitude of high-tech gadgets and cyberpunk bio-mods, you are granted nearly superhuman powers. Travel the globe to uncover fiendish plots and convoluted conspiracies of world domination. Unmask the conspirators, and discover the shocking truth behind your own origins.
Deus Ex: Invisible War features the open-ended gameplay of its predecessor: use multi-tools and trickery to get past your opponents, or just turn their technology against them as you hack their turrets and computer systems. Along with bio-mods and choices that let you mould your character as you desire, take advantage of the numerous ways to customize your weaponry whether it’s to increase their rate of fire or clip capacity. Last but not least, take advantage of the various factions, such as the Omar who have the only black-market bio-mods, to further your aims.
Who should you trust? Who should you fight? Every decision you make affects the world around you. A good choice for RPG and action fans alike!
RPG-ish design allowing for multiple solutions to every quest, whether through stealth and treachery or all guns blazing!
A selection of unique biomods such as the Neural Interface that allows you to hack computers or Cloak to hide from enemies, cyberpunk style.
Globe-hop to real world locations such as Seattle, London, and Cairo.

Worse than the original Deus Ex, but I prefer this to Human Revolution because this game isn't embarrassed by first person gameplay.
Other reviews have said that this is good, but worse than Deus Ex 1. However, there were some changes I liked:
-Passive augmentations that don't consume energy. (Making silent footsteps worth acquiring.)
-X-ray vision that works
-Improved weapon modification
-Universal augmentation canisters can acquire powers you want early in game
The plot arc of the Deus Ex (PC, 2000) is closed in this second part. The game tries to simplify and correct many of the first game faults related to the GUI (which frankly was complex unnecessarily), however they overdid. By example, the ammunitions have a universal ammo, and the biomods and skills are placed together only as biomods, by otherwise when you need to remove a physical or electronic lock, you only need to be closed for using the item, without need of changing items (useful as you will do it many times).
The combat mechanics, based on the first game, are now feeling as an action game, even the most dangerous enemies are easy to destroy without being damaged. Also, is impossible ending the game without killing, e.g. the elite enemies will explode as soon they are killed or left unconscious.
The game tries to preserver the fundamentals aspects of the first part, as the gossip between the people and the immersion of the word by means of news. BUT this is the weakest point of this game. The voice work is awful, killing all the immersion.
The game plot is not bad, though is a little strange due that EIDOS chosen that the 3 possible endings of Deus Ex are cannon. As result, the world is in a strange state and there are some inconsistency, however the twists and the development of the history inside of the game are decent.
It's not awful, but it's nowhere near as good as the first. The levels are tight and claustrophobic, and the whole interface and inventory system manage to be both basic and awkward. Only get it cheap and with low expactations. Better yet get the first one.
I think it's too critiziced, it sure has flaws as being created with consoles in mind instead of pc and all that. Not being that profound as the first one, or at the end it could be resumed to not being at the level of the first one in almost anything. But that maybe is too much to ask, if we don't search that then you will find a really interesting game, nice gameplay, a great atmosphere, amazing ambient music, story and so.
The commentaries and intrigue of the original Deus Ex aren't really there anymore, dialogue's a bit bland, but the gameplay's still quite fun.
Very much my least favourite Deus Ex title, but worth a playthrough with the Visible Upgrade mod to get it running on modern systems properly. Plays like a dream afterwards.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
