My life

I grew up on this game. It single handedly cast me into the amazing realm of PC gaming. I did online play for years till they shut down the server hosting, and I will argue to death how this game DEFINES what FPS gaming is all about. No game can even come close to the splender of 6 degrees of freedom that this game allows. And even though it came out in 98, it puts COD and MOH to shame.

Great fun. Makes me dizzy though

Okay, so the controls are a little bit difficult. But once you get used to them, be prepared for a great adventure flying around and destroying robots and the like. Just don't play too long at a time, otherwise you may find yourself hurling or near to doing that.

Naprawdę chcę polubić tą grę

Przeszedłem wielkrotnie D1 i D2, jednak w D3 nie idzie grać. Nie wiem kto wpadł na pomysł żeby wywrócić wszystko w rozgrywce do góry nogami. Plansze są słabe, statki wrogów mają nieciekawe projekty. Fabuła jakoś się trzyma ale zrobienie z Dooma w stanie nieważkości Half-Life`a w 0g nie pykło. Rozczarowanie.

A classic battle sim

I have always loved the Descent series, and this was my favorite. It holds up well after all these years (but make sure you find the nglide_config.exe utility in the game folder - you'll need it for modern resolutions). There are a few visual artifacts, but the gameplay is as great as it ever was.
