Descent

Brilliant game. I still remember nearly falling out of my chair at least a few dozen times. Or even just the feeling of complete nausea coupled with toppling over backwards after pulling the mouse back too fast. Well thought out gameplay, fast pace.

I get lost every time. I die. The graphic is not that good but hey, it's 95. It was different, cool and damn addictive. A must

I used to play this in the 90s, when I was 17 or so. Couldn't figure how many nights spent on the endless 3d mazes, tunnels and labs of Descent. sometimes it was hard to tell what was the upside. First 3d simulation I ever tried and possibly one of the best

Descent 1 is my first favorite pc game! And all time favorite game. Descent 2 is not bad and my friend says its his favorite. I remember when I was a little child an we played Descent1 at school with 8 people in multiplayer local network! It always happens when our lesson with the normal pc programs where over. It was amazing to fight with so many people in a mine... You can easily play it with keyboard only. I also would recommend it!! Its very easy. Just use ASWD in combination with the key buttons. I always use A and D to move sideways and Q and E to rotate back to the "right" top and buttom. But also keep in mind that there are some secret levels! In Descent 1 you can find 3 of them...

This was a game changing game (pardon the pun). This game is what got me hooked for many nights after I'd had enough of Doom. The AI was superb and the no-way-is-up zero gravity was amazingly freeing and gave me that weird feeling in my stomach I was upside down, but then the lighting changed as I flew along and suddenly I wasn't plunging down but the world turned with me. And the soundtrack for both games was phenomenally good at mood setting. That said, it is a bit dated and looks pixelated these days.
