Death Road to Canada

So i decided to support the developers on GOG (after owning the game on Steam) and bought it last night here too. Started the game in its glorious pixel art and awesome music and manage to get almost everyone killed until we met Gail, an old cool woman that knew how to fix cars and deal with bandits and have a awesome instinct about everyone met. We accepted the no melee and only guns challange almost to the end of the adventure and had to kite around for half an hour last three sieges in lack of.. ammo.. In the end only old woman Gail made it to Canada and married the prime minister of Canada while cute penguins were watching all around. That was the first game session on GOG and Gail made it. Gail was the best. Perhaps she still is somewhere in Canada..

Ok , here we go , Find very few people add their OS so I am going to Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 / Macbook pro retina 2014 To start with this game is very fun and addicting , also has a lot of replayability !!! On the flip side it has some GUI issues with the buttons which can sometimes be resolved by restarting the game until the issue stops ( when this happens the characters won't exit the vehicle when they arrive or your buddy walks to the corner and stays there ). When the game is working well it's a lot of fun but with all the grind you never make it very far ( Hey the zombie's are there to kill you so what do I expect LOL ) . This game needs some patches and more gameplay options for changing the difficulty I am at retirement age so options for difficulty would be nice because just once I would like to make it to Canada .

Yes, the game is fun, yes it is good and all that, but what truly defines this game for me is how this game plays me. I created several custom characters with different traits and looks to resemble popular characters from other media. Apart from the usual favorite zombie media characters i created the Simpson family, several Doctors and Companions from Doctor Who, Rick and Morty, and so on. And each time my play style and experience is automatically different and somehow with the good but limited set of in-game options and background comes to life a complex and unique story with my favorite characters that i get involved in. If i play a Doctor/Companion run i can not refuse a call for help, if i play Bart i play reckless and comedic, Rick constantly irritates people and tells them to COOL IT and rips people off. I play the game and it plays me. In my opinion this is the defining quality of this game. And i love it.

It's loads fun, and infinitely replayable. It might be one of the best simulations of a zombie apocalypse, despite being silly and funny throughout.

This game is a lot of fun. I haven't gotten very far on any of the trips I've played so far, but I've enjoyed every second of watching my intrepid band of survivors die. This game reminds me very heavily of The Oregon Trail games, minus the boring bits. Definitely worth the money :)
