Made me stop playing the game entirely

Full disclaimer, I didn't even finish the DLC. Not even close, because after what felt just like hours I just wanted to be done with it and return to the base game. To say I didn't enjoy my time would be an understatement as I've never seen a game take agency away from the player like this. I left such a sour taste that when I was finally able to return to the main game, I didn't touch it for months. 1. The intro missions They kept dragging on and on and on. From scripted combat encounter to scripted platforming section to scripted chase scene to scripted action set piece to scripted stealth section to scripted city introduction so on and so forth. I swear there must be at least 10 scripted instances of opening doors or clearing a passageway, it's that bad. I was waiting for hours for the dialouge option to say "Hey, I don't know any of you and I'll not continue to risk my live for you. I'm out." 2. The gameplay Just awful. Beyond everything being scripted, CDPR decided to what felt like quadruple enemy health and damage from the base game. My build used the strongest smart gun in the game with guaranteed headshots, automatic crits and any headshot multiplier and crit multiplier I could get and it would still take several magazines to take out single enemies. Get ready to cheese some encounters if you are a netrunner. But wait, the first major boss is a robot, so they will shine there with their quickhacks, right? Nope sorry, you need to shoot the glowy parts. 3. Characters and Story They never had a chance with me as I just hated how the story is forced on to the player. You are taken from one absurd and deadly scenario to another simply because one character forced their way inside your head and made vague promises. Once again, there is no player agency, you just have to accept this and risk your life over and over again for these new characters. After the chimera fight I started skipping all dialogues as I knew I would never finish this DLC.

Excellent Recovery

Cyberpunk 2.0 and Phantom Liberty fix a lot of the problems with Cyberpunk 2077 thus far. Even things I thought would never get fixed like the weapon levels. This is much more the game it always should have been. They got rid of a lot of the restrictions on using items and skills, which results in a game that has you engaging with its systems quite actively. It's incredible. This is my fourth playthrough of Cyberpunk and it is by far the most fun.

Even better than vanilla

This expansion is absolutely worth the money. I paid £85 for Starfield and £25 for this. I've already put more hours into Phantom Liberty in the first 3 days than I have in Starfield since its launch. The story is amazing, voice acting awesome and the action is even harder core than before!! 100% recommended. Every PC should ship with this and be compulsory reading.

Promises fullfilled!

This is everything I had hoped for and more. It's as if the devs listened to all feedback regarding the previous versions and made best efforts to correct the problems. This is like a brand new game. If that main, original story wasn't the same this could easily be a standalone title. Everything has been overhauled, and in a wonderful way. I started a new V and enjoyed several hours of new content related to my lifestyle choice. The economy is fixed. The piles of useless drops are fixed. Clothes allow you to dress like you want instead of some horrid comboi simply because of armor stats. The skill tress are completely replaced with ones that feel more natural and organic. And all this before I've even got to the Phantom Liberty part of the release. Thank you CDPR for listening to our feedback and creating this title. The only think that saddens me is that there's not more coming in the form of DLC. Cyberpunk 2.0 really is a 2.0. Path Tracing, DLSS 3.5, Frame Gen, it's freaking amazing! I started Starfield a week before this came out, and it was 'meh' at best. Contained no new tech, no hdr, no frame gen, no dlss, just old technology. Load screens after every other door. Starfield was a huge disappointment for me. Then this came out, and I'm showen what a brilliant game can do on high end hardware. I literally bought a 4090 JUST to play this game with path tracing, and it was worth every single penny. There's a couple hiccups here and there, but nothing game breaking. I'm in love with this title. I had 350 hours into the original before this expansion and it's only going to keep climbing.

I dont know

It has Bugs and even some that i didnt had with previous versions, i didn't experience game crashes. I dont like that the iconic weapons lost the mod-slots and that you cant even exchange the mods you have in your weapons, which was possible in the base game. The Charaker-Tree is Okish, but nothing to brag about. The Story is good. But the Vehicle missions are a Joke, the time is nearly impossible with cars driving like a soapbars. And then you get some stupid trashtalk from the Captain if you cant drive 2,5km with a serpentine at the end in 1:30 min. Thats some real BS.
