Cyberpunk 2077

I love it!

Like the title says. The game is now at version 1.23 and playable and even though weird bugs pop up now and then it's not bad. It was never unplayable on PC, only on old consoles. This said a SSD and a good GPU are definite pro's. I'm really into cyberpunk as a genre, so Neuromancer, Johnny Mnemonic, Matrix, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Cyberpunk 2020 Roleplaying, Shadowrun and things comparable. This did add something to the list and this should mean something to lovers of the genre and I'm pretty glad I played it from start to finish (well 95% achievements, and all endings is pretty much all) I'll be honest even though the release version was playable for the most part I've seen MANY bugs, and first it was just laughable. A lot has been improved since. Still there are issues. Most issues are not that bad, BUT there ARE issues. clipping, bad spawning equipment (all high qualityy gear was checked , but random finds can be (partly) under the floor, and unreachable. This frustrates me. The combat system is wonky. I have no problem having simulated melee, but it's chaotic and annoying , and the ranged combat is like: if you can see it you can kill it, but with combo's showing any enemy on the grid with quickhacks and weapons that negate all walls, you have effectively broken the game on hard(est) mode. which makes the game trivial in the combat. Also the AI is particularly dumb. Walking around when enemies are shouting while being on a stealth run doesn't scare me, it just provides easy acces to enemy locations. I played all life paths, I played all endings, I played based on most cyberware options and you can actually build a character who is incapable to progress easy or at all. All other options tend to be easy and in some builds you'll break the game with such force, no enemy can kill you (unless you're dumb, like falling down a skyscraper). So GREAT STORY, GREAT ENVIRONMENT, GREAT VISUALS, MEH TRAVEL (don't like teleports, vehicles ok), BAD AI/COMBAT.

I really enjoyed the whole world and all the type of side quests. I sometimes even preferred side quests against main story because they offered so many possibilities (do I want to hack inside? use force? just shoot? talk myself inside?) Biggest downside for me was that even lots of decisions you have to confirm several times, one main character can die without even noticing and loosing one possible end game achievement (my situation). I also missed lots of collectible items and that was also really disappointing because I did every single mission, sidemission or gig and I was carefull to search my surroundings to detail. Still didnt get over half of stash walls collectibles :( The game crashed for me cca 10 times in 175 hours of play so no big deal and I never lost important progress. Also bugs bother me really like twice in a game. Overall it is a great game, great graphics, great story and mainly great world where the story is happening. So not skip side missions, read mails and shards to see how detailed this world is and that every single situation there has some backstory. #TeamJudy even as a male V :)

I got this at release, but only got around to it recently. As regards bugs, I didn't encounter anything noteable (the odd animation glitch being the worst that I encountered) and the game has never crashed on me. As regards the game and the story, I had a great time. The central story is great and I loved the back and forth with Johnny throughout the many missions. A lot of the sidequests are the typical "kill a bunch of people" stuff...fun enough, but very basic, but there are however a few that were really well done and stuck with me more than I would have expected. As regards the gameplay, I had a good time with it. I liked the combat (though its nothing mindblowing) and I absolutely loved the city it all takes place in. The city is a real joy to travel around, and I did find myself driving almost everywhere and rarely using the fast travel. As far as my personal recommendation goes, all I can say is that having just finished it for the first time, I am really looking forward to starting a second playthrough.

The reason why I didn't bought the game day one was because of me being cautious and because it's flaws, glitches,bugs, unplayable on the ps4. So I decided to play the game later on, thanks to the chip shortages and not being able to buy a ps5 I bought and played the game in december 2021 on my pc. Most game studios focus on main quests not giving a damn about sidequests - CD Project Red on the other side CARES A LOT. Every single sidequest I played is UNIQUE. Not boring lame ass sidequests/fetchquests like in Dragon Age Inquisition,Fallout 4,Mass Effect just to name a few. Goro needs some LOVE tho my V is into him - make him a romance option PLEASE :)
