Armed with logic, creativity and moral judgement, you'll face some of the most intricate and challenging puzzles you've ever seen. Many puzzles have multiple solutions with varying implications - some more desirable than others. Even the game itself has at least five possible endings.

The art of Robin Hood is inspiring. Created with the brilliant palette of an illuminated medieval manuscript, it's a festival of light and color. Experience the splendor of 12th century England, from the grime of Nottingham to the vibrancy of Sherwood. The detailed video-captured animation is fluid and varied; most characters you meet have unique animated portraits.
More puzzles than any previous Sierra adventure game.

Original soundtrack based on medieval music styles, using the sounds of period instruments.
Adventure games aren't for everyone, especially Sierra adventure games. But if you're going to play one Sierra adventure game, it should probably be this one. The VGA graphics and MIDI tunes may not impress as much as they did in the 90s, but the core of this game is great. Great story, a well-realized world, and shockingly logical puzzles for a Sierra game. There are a few issues--sometimes you're required to just wander around or wait for something to happen--but the good more than outweighs the bad. Just remember that there are quite a few puzzles that require you to consult the manual, included in the download as a PDF.
The puzzles were difficult and required memorizing (or writing down) a code system for some of them, the humor not on par with other Sierra titles, and while it seems you cannot soft lock yourself, it's very easy to get a bad (or at least not as good) ending.
On the positive sides, the graphics are fine for the time and used well. The music fits the era portrayed perfectly. If you don't mind needing a walkthrough, it's not a bad way to spend day.
Well written (both when it wants to be more serious or when funny) and even with the short length gives some time to John, Alan, Will, Marian, Tuck, and Much. Most every choice or action that leads to death is an obvious bad idea, and the game has you do smart things to either survive or to gain more points for a better ending (leaving a room as it was after stealing something, hiding the color of your beard). Both choices that positively effect your reputation (and score) and conversations with your men have you actively looking out for the poor or people driven to you for help. Puzzles are fair, some have worse solutions that will still work but may lead to a worse ending or less ideal result. The druid code is pretty poorly implemented though. Speed setting is nice to have.
