Wow, like a good book!

Finally a good game again that really takes you away like a good book. Great voice acting, cool story (or stories), beautiful graphics and effects, some real action - or pure stealth for hours if you prefer - and a few jump scares (but horror is not the main theme). One of those games that leaves you kind of empty after you finished it. Waiting for part 2. ;-) Huge compliment to the dev team!

Not bad, but...

I found the game very interesting on the one hand but very disappointing on the other. The gameplay is not bad, although there is nothing never seen before. The fictional story based on the real nuclear catastrophe of Chernobyl is pleasant and consistent with the real facts and with Tatyana who teaches her boyfriend about it. The fights with the enemies are quite plausible. The crafting is good, the system of the relationship with companions as well and the system of being able to delete or change memories is quite interesting. The graphics are good with smooth movements but sometimes there are some hiccups in collisions with the ground. The disappointing part lies in the enemies that are not very varied (only two types of human enemies, + the Dark Stalker and two types of monster enemies), which leads to the game becoming boring. Personally, I've gotten to a point where I can't get on with the main story, always repeating the side quests, with no hint on what to do, so I don't think I'm going to continue.

These forests, Francine! Omg!

Best russian-style shooter I've played since the king STALKER:Lost Alpha. Was great 4 years ago. Is greater today. So many updates, graphics enhancements, etc since release. So yeah, it's a game... it has it's ups and down. Is it the best game? No. Is it worth a play? Absolutely. I'm in it for the atmosphere, graphics, play-at-your-own-pace missions / exploration and it delivers!

Seems pretty decent for in development

Its better put together than most of the in development games I've purchased in the past. It has bugs as you would expect and its crashed on me in the couple hours I've played. Some of the voice acting is missing or sometimes just doesnt play. Alot of the negitave reviews seem to have valid complaints about the game. It would be nice to see better animations and sounds or just more sounds for doing things like takedowns. (when I did them there was no sound at all) It would also be nice to have an option to not have the missions be timed. This is a pretty solid foundation for a game and I'm really interested to see where it goes. The plus side is hopefully the developers will see the negitive or mixed reviews and make some changed to reflect how people feel.
