Base for an immersive sim that never was

The physic engine is good, There are a lot of interesting mechanics, thanks to the dual characters arcs too. Action shooter, stealth with thunders to exploit to cover one's own sounds, a bit of Indiana Jones, etc. This game really show various way to make a western first person game. Alas, shooting apart, they are underused. A lot of good interactions have only sense in scripted moments. Very sad, because with a different level design and more freedom, it could have been a great immersive sim. Not it is just a good adventure shooting game with a lot of variety in levels. Plot and atmosphere are very good. The story is simple, but music and dubbing elevate it. 3. Plus 0.5 if I don't think too much about the missed opportunity.

Average old school shooter

The shooting is mediocre, the presentation is average and the levels are more restrictive than they look like. But as a lover of the western genre, beggars can't be choosers.

Swego czasu robiła dobre wrażenie

Dziś niestety gra się słabo zestarzała, oczywiście to wciąż dobra gra choć zapewniam że nie będzie to najbardziej komfortowa klasyczna rozgrywka w historii + pamiętajcie o tym że gra nie posiada zapisów w chmurze więc zalecam zainstalować i odrazu ukończyć.

The Hero's Journey

While Prey was the one of the first games to have had its PR boasting about having the mythological as well as the universal "Hero's Journey," this one actually has it in its classic form. Both games have their Native American main character, but only this one is remade and reborn by the experience sustained during the game. It was on my mind when I played it many years ago and I still remember it.

Fun western... a bit clumsy

I managed to finish the game and enjoyed the environments and story well enough. Gamplay was a tad clumsy in particular the rope swinging/climbing. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of western environments.
