I played through the whole remastered version, and it wasn't terrible, but I'm not sure I can recommend it wholeheartedly. The ending of the story could have been a lot better, and it was sorely lacking an in-game hint system since quite a few of the puzzles were really opaque. It should be noted that since this is an old game, this is more the style for older games so it may not necessarily be a failing of this particular game as it was a problem of the industry that later games improved on.
It was entertaining and, barring the cheesy and mildly confusing ending, the story built up very nicely.
I really enjoyed the first part of the game, until I reached a point in the game where some kind of glitch made it impossible to continue. The walkthroughs may say you can get past the goat, but try as I might, there was no way I could move that plow and get the goat stuck on it. So, Broken Sword may or may not have a sword, but it definitely seems broken.
Yes, still a great game and still the Broken Sword the we loved so much in the past. Unfortunately, some puzzles have been simplified. The original version of the game is only in English, so if you want to play it in other languages... give up, you can't.
Anyway, really good game and still my favourite adventure in the genre.

Excellent crime story, I had already played the original game and got the remake for Android which didn't disappoint me. Of course I had to get the PC version as well, because I LOVE it. It's surely one of the most successful adventures, and Revolution deserves all my appreciation to make this game available in many languages and operating systems, among all other details. I also want to praise GOG's initiative to include the original version too.
Disclaimer: I have actually never played the director's cut version.
I finished this game multiple times back when I was a kid. And my god I had such a great time. Back then I would have sweared that this is the best game ever made.
