A gothic horror classic.
This game is an old school gem, and far better than I remember. Might be a little clunky by modern standards, but the story and voice acting go a long way to make the experience compelling. If you're looking at getting the remaster of Soul Reaver coming out, piuck this up, there's a lot of lore you'll miss out on otherwise.

Old But Gold
Legacy of Kain is one of the series with perhaps has most deepest stories of the 90s. And this whole deep story started with "Blood Omen". If you are a fan of this game/series and are only looking at the reviews to find out if the game works properly, don't worry. This version of game runs flawlessly. I did not experience any game-breaking glitches/bugs in my 12 hours of total play time. However, if you are just starting to this series and you are not very good with retro/old games, there is an important thing I need to warn you about. This top down isometric RPG isn't aged well. In this game we perform all our movements with the keyboard, and entire gameplay, from walking to fighting, feels a bit clunky. The graphics, which were impressive when they were released, may not look same level "impressive" to new players. Long story short: If you are old gamer (like me) and looking for best way to play this game, you found your looking for. But, if you have little tolerance for old games, Blood Omen most likely will not satisfy you.

Great port
I never got a chance to play this game when it came out, so I was looking for a chance to play it properly. This version runs smoothly and seems very enjoyable, so far. There are no subtitles though, so if you're not very good with English, you might miss some parts of the story / lore. The gameplay didn't age very well, but the atmosphere and the story are still great.
