Windows 7...
I hate giving a bad score to a game that truly shines as a breathe of fresh air in the current modern gaming industry, however my problem isn't so much the game itself as much as i would like to critique the game based on the unfair level of difficulty in some of the later stages rather than doing so i prefer to mention how this game in particular is unplayable in Windows 7, i was naive enough to believe that somehow i was going to be the lucky one, the fish that escaped the net. I was so stupid, getting surprised by constant crashes in between loading screens, sound cutting off constantly... Blood 2 is an incredible game, if you can get it to run.

This game is garbage
Blood 1 pretty much rules, but this one is just awful. Aside from the fact that they completely dropped the weird setting that made the first one interesting and unique in favor for a bland and forgettable techno-future (reminiscent of Daikatana of all things) the game just stinks The level design is aimless and meandering in that crappy late-90s way. The Doom/Quake era had some amazing maps, but sometime around Quake 2 everyone decided that wandering around aimlessly looking for keys was a means to an end all by itself. Crates, sewers, cardkeys, jumping puzzles, switch puzzles, doors blocked by laser grids... they're all here. It would be alright if the shooting didn't suck. Damage varies wildly. Sometimes my starter pistol takes down monster-tanks in literally one hit, sometimes it takes 23 headshots. You get dual uzis early on, but then "upgrade" to an assault rifle that is actually worse? Cruddy rapid-fire hitscan baddies will drain you from 200hp to 0 in nanoseconds, so you need to keep one finger on quicksave at all times. Melee enemies oftentimes hop onto your head and then spin around until you move. Great. Oh, and it crashes a lot, too!

True garbage.
I tried this game when it came out but had too much trouble with it working properly, so I only got so far. this time I sought out to finish this, no matter what the reviews said, I had to try it one more time.....boy, do I miss my 6$ ! this game is just abysmal. it is beyond me to think a human being concucted this stew of rotten matter and then sold it for money! it is the greatest scam in history. please, by all means, don't try it! don't make the mistake of ignoring the reviews, like I did.
