Still surprisingly fun
This is an old-school, low-res turn-based strategy game. It holds up very well. The graphics aren't worth a flip, but the gameplay is fun and compelling enough to keep me coming back for one more turn. Wish we had a new version with 3D graphics!

Not as good as the original
I had wanted to purchase the DRM free version, but now regret doing so. I feel this title is far inferior to the original Blitzkrieg, which I purchased here and still play. There is just something wrong with this game that I can't put my finger on. I'm unsure if it's the coloring, scale, scenario construction, or something completely different. I tried a single scenario, and started the 1st campaign. I could not finish either one and reluctantly removed this series of game from my computer. I give it one star because GoG is great, and maybe the next customer will love this game.

Win the campaign on the German side and then see an outro about Germany losing the war, lol.
