4 great adventure games

These games are really, really good. They all have fantastically well crafted stories, characters and music, and when you start playing them it's almost like you can't stop. The story and characters are really good, if a bit cheesy at some points. Apart from that, both the plot and the characters are masterfully written, avoiding many tropes and being very creative. The music is probably the best part of the game. It is one of the best soundtracks there is, composed of jazz and some electronic music and really adds to the atmosphere, which feels great to begin with. The puzzles are good, but I have to say that they are a bit too easy if you're a seasoned adventure gamer. Even if you're not, the puzzles are in no way hard, but do require some logic to solve. The biggest problem with the games is their length. While the fourth game does remedy this somewhat, the first three can be completed in two hours each. Apart from the length and somewhat simple puzzles, these games are awesome, and I would highly advise anyone to play them, even if you're not familiar with adventure games. This bundle earns 4 stars, only being held back from perfection by the two issues I've stated. Also, get the soundtrack. Blackwell: Unbound may have the best music of any game I've ever played.

Nice and atmospheric

One of the best adventure point and clicks I´ve played. I disagree with other people saying the puzzles are easy. Some of them are, others are pretty good mechanically. Although none of them are really hard I felt them right, not breaking the illusion of "it being a game". The story is interesting and the music and voice acting is nice as well. I didnt expect it to be so good as people say but it is.

Like classic point-and-clicks?

The Blackwell series (and all of WadgetEye's games for that matter) fit the bill, and all that entails. Lovely pixel art, mostly simple but sometimes obtuse puzzles, and hot-spot hunting are vehicles to deliver an engaging paranormal mystery experience. I played the whole series late last year, and loved each game more than the last. The great voice-actors stay the same throughout the series, but each entry features a different character artist, giving the feeling of distinct chapters in the characters' lives. If you're into the classic point-and-click format, I can't recommend WadgetEye games enough - and their Blackwell series is one of my favorites.

Awesome pixel adventure with deep story

This is probably one of the best hidden gems in the adventure genre I've played so far. The story is well written and flows over all the titles without major brakes or cuts. It might not be an adventure with complex puzzles but that way you won't get frustrated or stuck at any point. Rosangela and Joey have their very special relationship which never gets boring and will make you always want to progress in the game to see what happens next.

Wonderful Adventure series

Last year my partner and me bought this bundle and played them all in a row. Wow! We immediately fell in love with both characters, the witty writing, the mysterious atmosphere, the wonderfully drawn backgrounds and so on. It was also interesting how the game focuses less on traditional adventure puzzle and more on dialogues and investigations.
