Sceptical of her government's inability to repel the invaders, a rebellious action reporter named Jade sets out to capture the truth. Armed with her camera, dai-jo staff and fierce determination, she discovers shocking evidence leading to a horrific government conspiracy and is forced to battle an evil she cannot possibly fathom.
Join the Rebellion as action reporter Jade, join an underground resistance group and expose your government's secrets using stealth, force and wits. Stop at nothing until your people know the truth. Expose the Conspiracy. Enter a futuristic world full of deception, where nothing is as it seems and exposing the truth is the only hope of restoring freedom.
This game is really fun! It only took me roughly 10 hours to complete. It is never too repetitive and throws a handful of different game mechanics at you to keep things fresh.
There are a number of side objectives you can complete such as: winning all the races, getting every pearl, catching all the looters.
I'm not a huge completionist, so I only tampered a little with the races and such.
The only issue I had with this game was a couple freak camera angles that can get a little annoying.
But, all in all this is a great game and well worth it.
Well this is undoubtedly the best game I ever played. The summary above pushes it as an action Sci-Fi but it is actually much more than that. It has adventure and mystery elements as well as just plain fun elements (like a boat race) that make this game so special. There is no dullness here, no point in which you are not exited and most important the game constantly surprises you with new things.
The story is excellent with a truly epic ending(!) and the characters endearing. It is suitable for all ages and that really means it is fun to play for adults as well without losing any of its appeal. It will engage you with its humor and enthralling game play.
BG&E is a game worth your attention.
If you want fun, LOTS OF variety in gameplay, a good story, a fair but not frustrating challenge, likable characters... BG&E has got them all.
At heart it's a 3D platformer yet you will have driving sequences, flying sequences, mini games, simple puzzles, races, rpg elements and some incentives to explore the environments more thoroughly.
Unlike most 3D platformers yo won't have a single instant of annoying camera or problem judging distances. In fact one thing you will find odd is that you don't have a jump button. You approach a ledge and the character just jumps over it!
You also have some instances when you collaborate with non playable characters. Guess what! They don't get in the way and you don't have to wait for them to catch up with you.
It is evident that BG&E has been engineered to challenge you without frustrating. If you die it's because you did something stupid or careless. You won't have instances where you die or get stuck, and curse whoever designed the level or the camera.
My only complaint with the game is that it feels short. Either because it is good or because it is really short - I don't know! You can always go through it a second time and explore some environments, or race you might have missed and spend more time on the mini games.
If you want a good game to play over a weekend and value variety then this is for you.
This is one of those "sleeper hits" that defied all understanding. Big budget, skilled developers, decent gameplay, wonderful story, likeable characters. It had decent marketing and solid reviews. There's no earthly reason this wasn't a multi-million seller... except that it wasn't.
At least you can still buy it!
I really liked this one, and was surprised at how badly it faired.
You're not a soldier, or a commando or something, but rather, a freelance reporter-photographer. Her camera is an important item throughout the adventure for making money or collecting evidence.
There's plenty of stealth, racing, butt-kicking, and even some exploration of a very colorful, watery world.
I'm not sure what to think about her pig-man sidekick, with his fart-powered jet boots. But he grew on me. I really recommend this one, and I can't think of anything I'd consider to be a flaw.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
