Amazing! Sad I missed it as a kid!

This game is so much fun and very memorable! I just played and finished it not that long ago and really regret missing it as a kid. Game play and controls were excellent! I had a few frustrations, but mainly due to a boss fight. Oh and just wait, this game story is engaging and so memorable! I just can't believe how much I enjoyed this game! I went in with low expectations. I can safely say this game will remain on my PC for as long as possible. I like to sometimes just load up a fresh game and relive it again. There are not many single player games out there that make me go "I am so glad this game exists and I got to play it." This is one of those game that did it for me and I will never forget this game. Story does have a few plot holes that could be fixed but overall it is great. Graphics are back in early 2000s but they are pretty damn good. Frame rates are very smooth on PC and I never suffered a crash once. Controls a pretty good and you can always customize them away from M&KB if you want. Characters are memorable and voice acting is top notch. So sad this game did not sell well, until now. Well thanks GOG for making this game available to us. I was very happy to pay for this game and will never regret playing this shining gem. Get this game!

2020 and i'm still waiting for a sequel

17 years have passed and I would play this game again without a doubt. The story is 10/10 and what it seems just a problem with random aliens gets more complex as you advance in the game, but everything unfolds seamlessly as you're just doing your regular photographer-caretaker work. Combines puzzles, battles, races, photography, aliens, biology, a bit of politics, and stealth missions in a well-balanced way. Plus the relationship between Jade and Peyj will certainly charm you. Also has a great soundtrack that mustn't be overlooked. It's a shame that didn't sell well when initially came out but maybe it was just really ahead of its time. Let's hope that the sequel can live up to its name (if they finally finish it)

My gripes....

I'm gonna give my 2c a little differently to this game if only to give balance to gushing brown nosing ones your only likley to see. I'm instead going to list all the gripes i had with this game, i'm going to attack it with venamance. I'm going to smash this game of its pedestal so hard it'll be in peices before it hist the ground, litrally rip this game appart and make the developer cry for his mum. so. here goes.... Controls can be a tiny tiny! bit clunky especially when it comes to the end. (but overall pretty good) i distinctly remember having an issue with lives towards the end in the unpatched version. (this is undoubtably the patched version) errr..... Well that'll teach him..... how long for the sequal?

Quirky and French

I decided to get this game because of how much people gush over it, but I'm a little disappointed. It's quirky setting is quite fun, the graphics are good (but very glitchy on my system) and the story is okay, if a little uninspired and very linear, and the puzzles are fairly good without being too frustrating. On the downside, the game is short, about 10 hours. It betrays it's console roots with silly collecting parts (luckily you don't have to collect everything to finish it). The fighting is a simple button mash and rather pointless. The mini-games that might have prolonged the game are ruined by horrible camera angles and controls that make them pretty much unplayable.
