Beneath a Steel Sky (1994)

The first parts are amazing.The LINC base are very creppy,and the music are very creppy.Shut off the music!

whenever i first downloaded it i didnt expect a game so funny and witty , its got wonderful graphics that are extreamly pleasing to the eye. the twists and turns in this game are quite unexpexted at first yet seems appropriate , it slowy but surley takes a turn for the wild. i highly recomend giving this game a play, youll be happy that you did.

I only got Beneath a Steel Sky because it was a free game, so I didn't have my hopes set too high when I started playing it. However, it has turned out to be one of the most pleasant surprises I have had about a game ever. In terms of entertainment and clever humour it is way up there with Monkey Island and the like, and you get to use your brain, too.

Yeah, yeah, I know, the price is free, but really, this is a solid title anyway, especially if you miss the days when serious games didn't really take themselves too seriously. The background art's fantastic for its time, and the dialogue is pretty great. I found myself enjoying getting to the ending more than the ending itself, which seemed anticlimactic and predictable, once you got a grip on how the city's society and LINC worked. It wasn't always easy waiting for Joey to follow you to the elevators, either, and I found myself using them a lot. Still, I definitely recommend this game. It's not like it's out of your price range or anything.

I have played it countless times over the years but never finished it. I love playing it on my nokia n800 via scummvm
