The history of the Kais and the Drulls is one comprised of only a few Chromian centuries, but centuries with one war following the other, with destruction and upheaval determining the development of Chromian society.

Package is well worth 10$ even if it lacks Battle Isle 4: Andosian War which is pretty good game. Battle Isle is the TBS game which changed the world. It's sci-fi story is well designed, gameplay is on a very good level and most importantly the music is awesome. If you've never played Battle Isle series now is good time. Battle Isle 2 is the best game in the series. Incubation is spinoff of the main series and while it's a pretty good game it's pretty different from the main game series. I used to play this game on my Commodore Amiga and I am not sure how graphics compare but they should be about the same.
I bought the platinum edition here on GoG for 10 bucks, and every dollar has been worth it. Battle Isle comes with the original game, and two "add-ons" called "Battle Isle - the Desert" and "Battle Isle - the Moon". I highly recommend the usage of a Joystick or a controller for these games, otherwise the controls will drive you crazy.But enough said about that, more about the game:
Battle Isle gives you hardly any help with your units, when you progress through the game, you get given new units without being told what they are good for. This could have been done better.
I have spent hours with the first Battle Isle and I haven't tried the Moon or the Desert so far, so I can't say very much about these.
Battle Isle 2 also comes with an add-on called "Battle Isle 2 - Scenery", which I haven't tried either. Battle Isle 2 changes the whole concept of Battle Isle 1. In Battle Isle 2, these phases were thrown out and now you just have a turn during which you can move units and attack others. The battles have 3D-depictions, but these get quite annoying over the time.
Historyline 1914-1918. It is an attempt of BlueByte to try teaching history in video games. It is based on the same mechanics as Battle Isle 1, but has WW1 units. As I am really interested in that war, I particularly enjoy this game; it is realistic but not too realistic so that it would take ages to get into it.
I didn't like Incubation and BI3 very much, if I put the reasons here, my review would be too long.
Incubation is one of the best tactical sci-fi games ever made, so it is worth buying this package for that alone. The fact that you also get Battle Isle 1, 2 and 3 as a bonus makes this an absolute steal.
The reason why I bought this collection was History Line. which is unique and challanging. I had this game on Amiga, which took 7 floppies (!), and required a lot of swapping if you wanted to enjoy animations. But game was addicting with it's "one-more-turn syndrome". However each missions can take a lot of time. Do not be suprised if you realize that you are playing this game for a week, and you are still during 3th or 4th mission. Besides, AI is not stupid - it punishes your mistakes, and can use any advantage like terrrain od distance. Thus you should carefuly plan your moves. It is more like chess, but on hex board. Game is also pretty simple to learn.
It also can give you some nice historical lessons about 1st WW, which is also quite rare topic in games even today. For example - some units will be available later, like Mark 1-IV tanks or planes.
One thing can annoy you - controls are bit clunky, because it was made for joystick, and mouse is actually acting like joystick ;)
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
