AWESOME!!!
I wasn't a big fan of Batman, but man, you gotta play this game and you'll fall in love with the character instantly, is such a fun and good-thinking game.

Great Batman experience, but too linear
Batman Arkham Asylum is a fantastic game that truly makes you feel like the Dark Knight. The combat system is fluid and satisfying, the atmosphere of Arkham is perfectly dark and menacing, and the story keeps you engaged throughout. The graphics hold up well even today, and the voice acting is top-notch. What brings down the experience for me is that the game feels quite linear. You follow a fairly fixed route through Arkham without much freedom to explore on your own. I would have loved to see more open areas and more choices in how you approach situations. Despite this, it's definitely worth playing, especially for Batman fans. A solid action game with great production values that set the standard for superhero games.

Better Than I Expected
Usually when this game is compared to the other 3 games in the series (City, Origins, Knight), it usually ends up in 4th or 3rd Place. I haven't beaten it yet, but it has already proven itself as an amazing game in the series. I'm excited to play through the rest of the series and finally beat them, all on GOG!
