Lovely RPG, refreshing
Loved it! not really the deep/serious RPG thing. It's just an action/RPG (linear, no subquest : just walk, kill and choose which kill to improve), but it's really pleasant and lovely to play. The songs and the voice of the story teller are just absolutely sublime.

Got me hooked
I recommend this one, it's pretty good What I love - Nice visuals, simple, but colorful with quite a variety of enviroments - The music is nice - 9 weapons to choose from, you can pick 2 of them in any combination, plus you can upgrade them by choosing one of 2 upgrades per weapon level, and you can change them without charge, there's a lot of room fopr experimentation - customize the diffciulty choosing buffs for your enemies in the shrine, in case the default difficulty is too easy for you (you get extra xp and currency for doing so) - The story got me hooked, you are in the dark for the most part, trying to piece together the story from the flavor text of items and the conversations, I really liked that detail The not so good, this is mostly subjective - I'm not the fastest trigger out there (and my depth perception is bad) so there are a couple of trial that I just couldn't master , even with fully upgraded weapons, but the first prize is always a secret skill, so it didn't bother me that much - you cannot revisit stages, except for some that work like gauntlets and are meant to serve as farming/testing grounds - no captions or subtitles are a huge loss for those with hearing impairement since a lot of exposition is narrated as you progress through the stages The controversial: - some may say is repetitive, but I remember the long hours farming Mephisto in diablo 2 and let me tell you, this is nothing compared to that, if it was repetitive, I didn't notice, propbably because I was too busy having fun

Fantastic indie RPG
Bastion is an RPG with great exploration, engrossing combat mechanic, a ton of equipment customization but most of all a stunning presentation. Art design and direction are stellar, soundtrack is superb, voice acting is perfect, the story is charming, everything about this game shows a great deal of attention to detail. A must-buy.

One of my Favorites
I have played through this game several times. I love the narrator, I love the lore of the world. I love the art style. I enjoy the combat. I didn't love every weapon, but I found a few that I enjoyed and that was plenty. I even put on almost all of the difficulty options for my last run and still enjoyed it. I don't think the game is super hard, but there were some combat sequences, if you are doing all the possible content, that took some focus and multiple tries. This is one of the few games that I've replayed several times, and I imagine I'll play it again at some point.

what a fun game (for a while)
When I started the game I said what a fun game with some cool things. Very nice music, fun that the world builds around you as you go along and fun gameplay. I played it with a controller. It's pure hack and slash game. The narrator is cool too with some jokes about your playing and everything you're doing. There is a story but after a while I didn't listen anymore. After about 75 % of the game I got bored of it and just wanted it to end. After you finish the game you can play a story mode again with every weapon at your disposal and all buildings but I don't feel the need to play again. so conclusion for me: fun in between game (when you don't want to think a lot) that is maybe just long enough, nice graphics and very good music
