Ancient Celtic Monuments: Standing stones are, perhaps, the most mysterious wonders of the ancient world. There are still no satisfactory explanations as to what they are, how they were built, and who constructed them. A detailed, and spellbinding, story is woven through the very fabric of Barrow Hill, offering possible explanations, further mysteries and a chance to get beneath the surface of archaeology like no other game before it.

Dig deeper: Use real archaeological techniques, and practice, to unearth forgotten artefacts and delve into the Celtic legends which haunt the green lanes of the hill. Cornwall boasts itself as the home of many sorcerers, ancient kings and mythological characters. From the piskie folk of the hedgerows and clifftops to the beasts of Bodmin Moor. There isn't a corner of England's most western county that isn't rich in folklore, magic and danger!

It's ok... mostly

I have to admit - never finished this game. Too hard for me. But it's really nice atmospheric game. I also like the art. I don't know how to rate it's quality of puzzles... they are... ok? 3/5

The scariest thing all game...

...is a squawking crow jump scare. I really wish I could say there's a single thing scarier the entire time, but there isn't. You're just wandering around solving a few annoying puzzles (that require you to actually write notes down on paper then walk all the way across the map to the puzzle the info is relevant to). The "monster" is so lame that I honestly thought it would turn out to just be a prank. It all feels like it was meant to be a bad Zork entry before a marketing team decided to advertise it as a horror game. I heard great things about this game and was massively let down how amazingly lame it was. If you want a creepy 1st person horror adventure game from the mid 00s, play Scratches instead.

Myst pyst in a trapped in a circle

Its myst with another story, Myst sucked even in 1993 dont know about this, but if you liked that this game is for you, for me its always feeled like you poke around in a buch of photos when move around, almost as crap as quicktime from apple, fact its people that cant do animation or draw for real. But myst people are strange are you?
