Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

Almost needs to be played like reading a classic book. still holds up

I've been playing this game on and off since it was first released way back in 1998! It still holds up all these years later. Great game! Great adventure!

I remember the first time I got caught robbing someone. I ran to the border of town and thought I got away. Then the flaming fist showed up! No game impressed me more than Baldur's Gate. And I still play it today. I hope to live to play it 30 years from now!

One of my favourite games growing up. Great music, characters, voice overs and graphics. Baldur's Gate 2 and Planescape: Torment are also incredible games. These games are the pinnacle of CRPGs.

Yes, it's a clunky point and click RPG, and it uses old D&D rules, and sometimes the voice acting or writing made me cringe. But I'm here after BG3 and it's just a fun game. It's solid and it stands the test of time as long as you have the patience to adjust and learn as you go. Turn the difficulty way down, and then ease it up if you want to. I played the whole thing on story mode first. If you like the Dark Urge origin in BG3 you'll love this story, too.
