Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

Will the special package that I bought for $15 that expires in one day (BGEE, BGEE2, SOD) be free to upgrade to the new version that is currently in Beta 2.5 when it is completed? I am guessing we can't play the 2.5 Beta or the new version unless we buy from Beamdog or Steam. Is that correct?

The original game came in an 8 disc folder in 1998, and later the 'Original Saga' was released for some time here on GoG. Unfortunately I was too late on the draw picking up the Original Saga, and picked this up instead. If this is your first foray into Baldur's Gate - It will do, but I'm sorry you can't experience the original.

I bought the original when it first came out so I have been playing this for years and years, I have replayed it to say the least a lot. I purchased this for $2.99 along with BGII and Icewind Dale enhanced. The price, because I have the originals was well worth it and I will not disagree with other reviews if you have not gotten the original you should do that first and wait for a sale on this like I did. With that being said I love the changes in creation with new kits, new colors for avatars, and the fact they gave us a total stat points at the bottom of stats, no more watching for 17s & 18s. I now just watch the total at the bottom which makes it easier to reroll. My characters have between 90-108 for total stat points to work with which is great coupled with the fact we can alter each stat as we like as well. (It is very possible to get max stats though it doesn't happen often) Party mode is one of the greatest features for me where as I missed it greatly having come from the old gold box SSI's. I love parties for RPGS esp D&D and never understood why when coming out with a D&D Game they took it away. I never cared for most of the npcs in Baulders so being able to have a party makes me enjoy this enhanced version even more. I made a party of 4 leaving 2 spots free for NPCs along the way. You can play with a party for the original story or the new module that comes with it. I have not experienced any crashes or glitches and I am enjoying this timeless classic very much with the updates. Bottom line a great breath of fresh air for a timeless classic.

First of all, the game does not contain expansion films, which need to be purchased separately, and expansion films do not support my language. After all, it's a very old game, but in terms of game content, unless you want to experience it yourself, I suggest you can go to the video website to clear customs. Because the main plot background is very simple and ordinary, but the second game is better. But there are also some interesting branches and interesting characters in the game, which are worth experiencing.

I loved this game when I played the box version, but the GOG version's graphics are so bad, it is impossible to play when the game is at night. And, there seems to be no way to adjust the contrast, so you basically have to just wait until the game's dawn before it is playable again. Have not gotten to any dungeons yet, but I assume they are also unplayable. This is by far the worst GOG game I have bought out of over 100. How they messed up the graphics this bad is difficult to imagine. I have an nvidia graphics card, so it isn't like I am using some strange graphics... Recommend you hunt down the boxed version, this is unplayable and a waste of money.
