Could have been better.
Good graphics and great full feel control of a heavy bomber. Takes a long time to become proficient enough to fly the plane without any use of the autopilot.

Ode to a classic
I personally prefer the original microprose 90's rendition of this title and this title is basically the same game with updated graphics,so if you were a fan like me of that pc and Amiga version(my personal fav) then you are sure you love this no end,this is how sims used to be and wish more modern versions followed down this route,plays great on modern systems and it certainly shifts along at a cracking pace,this does feel like a true simulation rather than an arcade variant so if you are of the same feeling then go grab it.

I just try on windows 8 64 bits !
WOW, it works perfectly on windows 8 64 bits core i3 Geforce GTX660 for an old game of 2000 ! very original game that puts you in the heart of the action with B17 and P51 fighters above nazi germany. But be prepared to use a lot of keyboard commands. I am very pleased by this game, and i bought the GOG games for an easy install, however i have the original CD and precious paper manual and Keyboard pad which are very useful. Thanks GOG games, continue the good work on old games.

One of the Best.
Fantastic game! Either have some fun gunning in any of the available gunner positions, or go super-deep and play the role of an entire squadron commander. If realism is your goal, i highly suggest editing the RiversandRoads.DB file to make the game more realistic. A game not to be missed if your a fan of the movie "Memphis Belle" or you just need a taste of what those brave crewmen experienced in the air war over Germany. 5 star game, without a doubt.

One of a kind
I remember playing this when i was younger when it came out all those years ago.It was a great game and truely captured the feel of being in command of heavy bomber during WW2.No other air sim has attempted this since and its a shame as imagine how big the bomber formations could be with todays tech.But even today it still is superb and frantic when the flak starts booming and 109s and dreaded focker wulfs come after you....
