Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All!

I have been a Asterix fan since reading the comics as a kid, so a game about bashing Romans should have been perfect for me. However, the game design is extremely lazy. There are just a few different enemy types recycled over and over and it's the same for the scenarios. There are loads of missions, but they all look and feel the same. I literally got a sore thumb from the constant button mashing required for the waves and waves of boring enemies.

This game reminds me of the arcade game 'Asterix', from which it draws inspiration for sure. The problem is those arcade games are fairly short. Longer games need something extra. It's not worth the full price, at at a discount it is worth the purchase.

I adore the art style of this game but combat is not that fun due to repititive moves.

It's a good amount of enjoyable slapping. I mostly recommend for coop with your kid. It's a simple game - both story and formula. It's good for beginners. Repetitiveness is not a problem for kids under 10 or so, they just enjoy Romans flying around. A con is that coop requires two pads - you can't play pad+keyboard, for whatever reason.

Some errors with controling but overall really funny and good game
