Straightforward, enjoyable, worth it

It's a simple fun little game. The gameplay and rules are straightforward but there are enough elements to prevent it from being totally easy. This is from the opinion of a casual gamer. If you are deeply into strategy games or tabletop board games you might find it less satisfying from a complexity perspective. I found it required thought but not deep focus. The graphics and atmosphere are great. I wish the single player was longer with more difficulty levels. This game has made me reconsider trying GOG Galaxy for the sake of checking out multiplayer options. It is light but satisfying and easy to pick up and put down. Single player has limited replay value but I still like it a lot for what it is.

Really fun, but repetetive...

I got Antihero for the aesthetics... It's a beautiful game, and the music is absolutely amazing. The voice acting and sound effects and music really put together a good old England atmosphere. Game-play wise this game is fund and challenging. Much like chess, but with more options. Each piece has it's abilities, and each ability has it's advantages and checks. Strategy is key, and it is just the right level of difficulty because it's challenging, but not hopeless. The reason I docked a star was because it does get repetitive fairly quickly. You can play games against the AI or other individuals, so the value is there, but I can't help but feel that it could be more varied. For instance, there are a total of 7 types of characters. Your goal is to utilize those characters in ways that work to your advantage, but the perks you get in game are limited. Once you figure out which perks play to the biggest advantage it's pretty much a done deal and you do the same thing every time. Obviously playing against other players improves this a bit, but realistically they're going to do the same things you do because if they don't they'll be disadvantaged... Again, this game is a blast. But, with limited maps there is only but so much fun to be had. Get this game for the atmosphere and for the multiplayer, not for a deep experience. It's fun, just not something I'm dumping a ton of hours in.

A Nice Little Game

It's simple, it's short, but sometimes it's just what you need when you have some spare moments and you don't wanna think about things. I mean, the game is fun, the graphics are really cute. It's probably not worth €10 but I took it on sale and I'm really please of it.

Disapointing

I tried Antihero and I am not satisfied. I bought it on offer for about 10 € thinking that it would be a good deal but I actually do not think it anymore. I find that the game is interesting graphically but it soon turns repetitive. After 2-3 missions in the campaign you have seen all the skills and abilities that your thief and his/her crew can get, and it is more or less the same afterwards (I do not know because i quitted playing it after two skirimishes and three campaing missions) There are some tweaks in the campaing like more churches in some missions and in skirimishes you can use different characters, but there are too little changes between maps and charaters, therefore I lost interest, There is also a ton of DLCs, which seems unfair, because if they were free releases maybe the game would feel more completed and diverse. Hope I helped!

Nice London-town theme and all but...

Get's dull quickly and the difficulty in the single player is horribly uneven. I wish there were more skills to do for each unit and the maps were a little larger because this game feels constrained in a bad way.
