So good had to delete my save files
Bought disc version gold edition a long time ago, played it alot. Had to delete my save files to stop playing, cause I wasnt playing any other game for a long time. This is the only game witch beats sim city 4 in city building in my opinion.

A beautiful unplayable game
The game in itself is great. Fun to play, challenging, interesting... the problem is that when it crashes every 5 minutes, the enjoyment goes down the drain. I patched it to solve the memory warning and I modified the configuration to solve other issues, but it's instability is currently unsolvable. It keep crashing for any reason... it's truly frustrating. Too bad, because it's a great game.

Awsome Game!
Very good game! Just be carefull, look for the right installations on your computer to instal the game. Once you have them, it works just fine!

Unstable and cumbersome
As a fan of the genre, I hoped that Anno 1404 would be a nice game. The start was quite promising, but the frequent crashes (no Alt+F4 or Task Manager working - you have to restart Windows) and long loading times make it painful to play the game. Also, the interface isn't very intuitive: searching your troops on the map, knowing which symbol represents which resource, looking for tiny crates floating somewhere in a gigantic ocean. If that doesn't sound like fun to you, you're right. Actually, it's very annoying. I guess, if you really know what you're doing and if it works well on your computer, it's a decent game, but I'd look for another Anno instead of this one.
