Left all alone in a desolate WW1 bunker with only one bullet remaining in the barrel, it’s up to you to face the oppressing terrors in the dark. Keep the lights on at all costs, persevere, and make your way out alive. A truly intense horror experience.


RISING TENSION
Immerse yourself in the multiple ways of tackling survival. In the shoes of the French soldier Henri Clément, you are armed with a revolver gun, a noisy dynamo flashlight, and other scarce supplies to scavenge and craft along the way. With randomization and unpredictable behavior, no play-through is the same.

Hunted by an ever-present threat reacting to your every move and sound, you must adapt your play-style to face hell. Every decision will change the outcome of how the game responds. Actions bear consequences.


ESCAPING THE NIGHTMARE
Solve things your own way in a semi-open world. You must explore and experiment to make your way out. Figure out what’s going on down here - what has happened to the other soldiers? Where have all the officers gone? What diabolical nightmare lurks underneath this hellscape? Amnesia: The Bunker is genuinely scary, and its puzzles are fun to solve. Old-school survival-horror fans in particular will find a lot to like about the game. It randomizes certain elements in subsequent playthroughs to keep things interesting and that combined with its open-ended nature makes it the most replayable Amnesia game, even though it doesn't quite stick the landing like its predecessors. Luckily, Amnesia: The Bunker is a day one Xbox Game Pass game, so horror fans can brave its terrors for themselves without making any kind of major financial commitment.

Amnesia the Bunker

Simply incredible. One of the best horror games I've ever played. Just wish they would add achievemnts for the GOG version.

Excellent atmosphere and randomization

One of the few games that does randomization right. Everyone has their ~slightly~ different play, while overall elements are reliable. The atmosphere is truly dreadful, with lots of things not explained clearly, and intentionally so. I'm trying to not say much more as I want to avoid give any real elements away. Highly recommended, it's easily the best game Frictional have done so far. I will say that IMO it drags out too much near the end, but luckily there are options to make the enemies less agressive and/or disable some entirely, and while I would readily recommend against doing this for the actual playthrough as you'll remove much of the horror, if you find yourself annoyed by the end from having "solved" it but taking forever to set up the run, then honestly do it, it's awesome that they provided those options.

Unique experience

I can't remember having played a game like this before. It is less scary then previous amnesias because it revolves around understanding the monster's behavior and as you fail you are getting killed by it along the way multiple times. But I can't think of another game that offers an experience like this. Highly recommend.
