Amnesia: The Bunker is a first-person horror game from the makers of SOMA and Amnesia.
Left all alone in a desolate WW1 bunker with only one bullet remaining in the barrel, it’s up to you to face the oppressing terrors in the dark. Keep the lights on at all costs, persevere, and make your way out alive. A truly intense horror experience.

In the shoes of the French soldier Henri Clément, you are armed with a revolver gun, a noisy dynamo flashlight, and other scarce supplies to scavenge and craft along the way. Amnesia: The Bunker is genuinely scary, and its puzzles are fun to solve. Old-school survival-horror fans in particular will find a lot to like about the game. It randomizes certain elements in subsequent playthroughs to keep things interesting and that combined with its open-ended nature makes it the most replayable Amnesia game, even though it doesn't quite stick the landing like its predecessors. Luckily, Amnesia: The Bunker is a day one Xbox Game Pass game, so horror fans can brave its terrors for themselves without making any kind of major financial commitment.

Missed the mark by a mile
The game isn't even close to as engaging, scary or creative as The Dark Decent. It's a constant game of retreating to save int he one save area so you don't lose progress. Zero rewards for searching the map, and the monster is so predictable there are zero scares.

Decent. Poor Mans Alien: Isolation
I love Frictional Games. The Bunker was a bit of a letdown. It's a good game. I enjoyed my time with it. It's spooky, great atmosphere and sound as usual. The inclusion of a few weapons was cool. Unfortunately there is essentially zero story. Sure, there are notes you find throughout. Maybe it's because I adore SOMA and really enjoyed Rebirth. Between those games I really liked the story and the characters. The Bunker doesn't have either but it does have more gameplay. So that is a bonus. I suppose the ultimate reason I thought it was just OK was because I played Alien Isolation. That game is the benchmark for a survival horror where you are being hunted by a monster. The Bunker just can't compete with that masterpiece.
