nie dla gier po sowiecku.
Oburzające, że wydawane są gry w języku zbrodniarzy wojennych. Takie gry należy bojkotować.

Falls apart towards the end
The game was really decent and likeable up until the final location/chapter. Up to that point it's a very interesting, and enjoyable adventure game with a nice message. The animation is a bit poor, and voice acting at times gets uninspired, but nothing that would deter from the overall experience. The cinematics had issues, but still would had gotten a 5/5 up to that point from me. However, the twist towards the ending, destroys the whole game. There is no coherence, as if somebody had to wrap up the production - maybe the English translation was plain bad - maybe there were some missing scenes - maybe the voice actors never showed up for the recording - maybe the team had run out of time or money... The actual ending sequence was equally poorly executed and extremely rushed. I watched a few videos on youtube to make sure that I didn't miss anything! I read some people complain about too much dialog in the game. I wouldn't agree. For me, maybe the ending wouldn't had been so bad, if there was a bit more dialog, to feel in some gaps! What this game really needed, was a proper director's cut, with a bit love/polish towards the end. Sadly, it didn't get it. Such a pity :/

if you know the space button ...
I liked this game very much. Some puzzles were a little bit to confusing (still don't know what I had to do to defuse this bomb) luckily these puzzle-sequences can be skpped ... if you can live with that ;) I normally play such adventures for the story and I think that was quite decent. A great tip: if you press the space bar all points of interests/exits are marked... which is a great help. And yeah some dialogues are quite lenghty but that is fine - especially the cutscenes in comic style are very enjoyable.

Another Daedalic Gem
Daedalic games seem like Marmite from the reviews of this game. Personally I love their adventure games, and this one too. A New Beginning, alongside the usual point and click adventure hallmarks, adds comic strips within the actual game that you choose conversations in. Inevitably you're railroaded to the response they want you to choose but these still definitely add something to the experience, rather than spoil it. Okay the voice acting isn't Oscar-worthy but I find it by no means a game wrecker. What's vital here is that the story is great and keeps you wanting to play through, and for me it does. The hand painted backgrounds are often stunning and reminds you why you love this genre so much in the first place. In this one there does tend to be a hell of a lot of wandering from scene to scene struggling (and REALLY struggling, at times) to work out what the hell you've missed. But overall this is a solid addition to your point and click adventure collection and you'd be a fool to pass it up when it comes round in the sales.

Wish I understood German.
This is a great game, if you can get past the english speaking actors. I enjoyed exploring, meeting new characters. Right up until they started speaking. I wish the creators of this game had made a version of the original game with english subtitles. I've listened to the german acting and it's a lot better than the english translation. All in all this is a great game let down by the ENGLISH voice actors.
