Fun game with endless challenge
For some it might be shallow but with traits, skills and items along with its 3 classes namely archers, swordmen, pikemen but with endless supplies of islands one can arguably have different experiences each run. The random generation of islands with different tactical landscape either completely flat, tiny hills or mountains surely adds variety when it comes to placement of your units and how much coverage you can give to a particular area especially if you have to choose couple of houses to defend over a few in the heat of the battles as because of the terrain each gives you a specific strategic advantage. Furthermore with a string of islands to choose from and what those islands have to offer either an army with a different class, trait or an item keeps it interesting you can have multiple saves for each run and with different diffculties. In the end however its a minimalist strategy game with roguelite elements easy to learn but hard to master but if you really like the graphics, the gameplay, the art and the music its worth a buy. I already have the game on Steam so I bought the deluxe edition on GOG, one other reason being DRM-free.
