Fairly fun

Its more of a 3.5 out of 5 to me. I really don't feel like giving it a 4 as I won't be playing it again for many years should I ever care. Its fun enough one time through. I do feel like the length is the max it could be. Finished it in a little under 6.5 hours and that's with one puzzle that was bugged where I spent at least 30 minutes trying everything to no avail, only to exit and start and have to do the puzzle up to there again, and then it worked right away. The other point is that the game only saves at specific points and I didn't see the save symbol 100% of the time so was always unaware if I'd have to do parts over again. The game does quite well at it even without knowing but there are spots that are annoying. So, a minor amount of time was spent on redoing some puzzle parts. The puzzles are easy enough. They change a bit and there's some variation of types but its a lot of the same stuff with similar variations of the same types once the variation addition ends. Hence, why I feel like the game time is the max it can be. I wanted it done with by then. The same thing over and over again with variations, you have to like enough to keep doing it over and over, otherwise its a constant drag and reason to not play it. That will unmotivate x amount of people. Those who actually like puzzle games and finish them should like it though if the game media looks to you like your cup of tea. Could be better with more varied puzzles, more varied environments over boxy rooms that all look the same, better save system, and more story. Basically a quality enhancement pass.

Easy puzzle game with a few annoyances

I also think that this game is right between a 3 and a 4. For me, the atmosphere, story, and ease of solving the puzzles tip the scale towards a 4 instead of a 3. The mechanics of the game are introduced nicely and I never felt surprised by anything that I needed to do. A big positive aspect is that you do not get punished if you make a mistake; at least for me there was always a (sometimes a little time consuming) way to undo what I messed up and fix it. The puzzles are always logical and I found it straight forward to come up with the solution (even though at times was not that simple to execute it. That said, the puzzles get somewhat repetitive and much more linear towards the end. The last ~20-30 minutes feel like the designers also wanted to finish the story and didn't (want to) come up with new puzzles. Additionally, there are a few sequences where timing is important or fairly precise moving is required, which I find distract from the rest of the game. Another problem is the saving: as mentioned in other reviews, the game saves automatically at certain spots, but I never saw any message...but it still worked the couple times I needed to quit (I did it right after starting a new chapter). Overall, it is a solid, easy puzzle game without any bugs or game breaking problems for a few hours of entertainment. It took me about 7 hours to finish the game and I do not see any good reason to replay the game. To find missed secrets the individual chapters can be replayed individually, but except for completionists/achievement hunters .

Decently fun, but nothing special

This was a good value - for $2 (on sale), I got several hours of puzzle solving out of it. There was also some unexpected benefits, such as some truly beautiful vistas throughout the game. There is definite thought put in to much of the art style etc. The core mechanic underlying the puzzles was just ok. As others have said, most of the puzzles weren't very challenging, although the latter ones involved lots of steps. I never felt like a "fun" new mechanic was introduced, although it was satisfying to make progress and see things coming together. The worst part of the game is the story. It starts out interesting but none of the revelations make sense and they are all "told" instead of "shown". Seems like the developers realized they needed a story for their puzzle game but didn't leave much time to implement it. Overall, looking back at the game leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. There are some great moments and it was a decent way to pass the time, but it could have been so much more if shown some love by the devs.

Decent puzzle game

3/5 6.5/10 A game that has been evading my 'suggested for you' sections for yrs somehow and I only just saw it recently and ofc decided to give it a try since I love puzzle games, and Im glad I did. The puzzles have a sense of fluid logic to them, a rare thing these days b/c so many puzzle designs in other games just make no sense and is designed to frustrate more than give u a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction when you manage to solve it without hitting on YT every lvl. Its true what others say that a few of them are a bit on the easy side, but overall they are all fairly challenging and a few in the end, like the 2 on the wall with the Z shape, I sneaked a peek on YT for because %%&"#¤ lol . So there is a bit for all ranges, but I would still say overall it has far more logic and sense of accomplishment to them than a pletora of other games out there, which in no way is designed with a human brain in mind. The story is decent, and I went for both endings, and without spoiling it, Id recommend you do too. Just reload the last lvl and see the other option too. My only real negative thing to mention was that I think the voiceacting/lines (mainly lines) was the weakest link if any. It wasnt bad, just a bit meh at times. Another thing to mention is that I hadnt caught onto not being able to walk on the colour bridges without that colour in ur gun, so that had me scratching my head untill I YT'd it. Maybe a hint or easier visual glow or something for future reference. Or it could easily just be a me thing too! If u have a love for puzzle games, be sure to give this one a try too, I did enjoy it and Im glad I finally came across it. If you dont expect anything too special or a Talos IQ lvl of puzzles going into it then Im sure u will enjoy it too. -Arch Linux EndeavourOS
