maybe something of a hardcore platformer
YesterMorrow is, as expected, a nice little action platformer with some nice puzzles, solid grafics and fitting music. Gameplay is rather linear, no side missions and you don't have much option to explore. But why the title? (possible rant/whining ahead) While progressing in the game I noticed that I had to be more and more precise with my jumps and the excecution of the abilities in order to just advance through the plot. Which is not nscessarily a bad thing, but for me that ment that I had to redo one "simply on the way puzzle" around 50 times since it required very precise and fast jumps with no margin for error to speak of. Shortly after that came a "lava rising" scenario that requires you at its end to perform a specific action, which is not really well explained or obvious (to me at least). Which in my case ment running up there and then wondering what to do. (for about 2 seconds, then "lava") . Over and over again. But this may all be because of my lack of skill in these kind of games. Final verdict? If you like platforming games where you have to be fast and precise, this game might be yours. If you are someone who's looking for a more casual platformer, better go and look somewhere else.
