I play the newest Monster Hunter on this pc and this game can barely run. It's not lack of pc power, it's just a poorly made game. Don't waste your time or money on it.
The mechanics of the boardgame are interesting and have high potential but it's not fully realized.
The turns take way too long to resolve.
Lack of clarity and UI issues where it's hard to find the buttons. The office menu was hidden in the "Alt" key menu. After some character battles you still get the prompt to talk to them even though it doesn't work.
With a bit of love, this little game could be a quick little card game that allows for some creativity. I love the town-building based off deck synergies.
Unfortunately, it is buggy to the point of unplayable and must be restarted every hour or so. The characters and dialogues are quaint and pretty snappy, but there's almost zero world-building so every animal has to rely on some sort of quirky remark to justify their own existence.
The game balance from individual cards being wildly different in power to the aggressive strategies being unfairly favored just makes it a bit of a chore as well. There's a broken card called Blizzard; it indefinitely freezes all your opponent's cards (not on purpose). Use it on say turn 8 and always win.
This seems exactly like the kind of game I would enjoy, but I am just not understanding the decision to make the computer turns and animations take so long, it seriously detracts from an enjoyable experience. I have search all throughout the settings and cant find any options to speed up gameplay or the animations.
This game is waiting for a review. Take the first shot!
