The most horribly realistic LE simulator
This game is amazing in my opinion. I spent an hour on it so far and I was so depressed by what had happened up to that point that I had to quit. There is seemingly no way to be a good, honest police chief without losing officers to fear or budget issues or other horrible political and mafia related intrigue. In my (albeit brief) playthrough so far, I'm intrigued at every step. The crimes in progress range from vandalism, to attempted murder via chocolate vat. In order to apprehend the suspects, protect civilians and solve crimes, you must send out patrol officers who have various levels of dependability and various quirks that you won't find out unless you watch their trends. Some can be alcoholics or just lazy people. I haven't seen any more than that yet however. Sometimes, a call will be too much for your officers to handle alone, so you can call for backup from police units that are still at base and they will arrive to help. Also, officer deaths can happen quite randomly as I had 2 officers try to arrest a man who was spray painting genitals on a building and he shot one of them to death. Going back to the political part of the game, you have to play ball with the corrupt ass mayor or lose your budget and fire officers and do "favors" for the head of the local mob family or bad things will happen. Like I said in the start of the review, it is nearly impossible to be a good, honest police chief, but I'll be damned if it hasn't been extremely entertaining so far.
