The Settlers® 4: Gold Edition

You can fix settlers if you get this message: Software 3D: Error initializing Graphic Interface Hardware 3D: Error initializing Graphic Interface Just search in the internet for DXGL settler 4 solution and you can fix it in like 2 min without any knowledge Hope my english isnt to bad and i could help someone The game is awesome btw.

Alright guys, here is how it is done: 1. Install the game. 2. Download DXGL and start it. 3. Add S4.exe and S4_main.exe and don't change absolutely nothing. 4. Open the GameSettings.cfg in the Config folder (using Notepad) and change the value ObjectHardware = 1 to ObjectHardware = 0. Change nothing else. Moving objects render normally now. 5. Open Video.cfg in the Config folder and change all the values to 1. The videos are now displayed. I've been waiting for this game to be re-released for forever. :D It's a very simple, old school RTS. You turtle for an hour, expand your city, build a massive army, and then overrun your enemy. Nothing too complicated and it's all in 2d, but it is so much fun. Unlike entries after it, there's no hero characters or complex economy, but it still has a nice, simple story. It also has several different playable factions, each with a degree of uniqueness, which is different from other Settlers games. More like C&C: Generals or something. The gold version includes an expansion that has a lot of content, so it's not at all a short game. If you enjoy the old "turtle/expand/crush" RTS games, this will be a lot of fun. There's some fairly difficult missions as well.

Does not work with windows 10 :(
