Developed by Digital Sun, creators of Moonlighter, The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story™ is an action RPG that takes place in the League of Legends universe. In the kingdom of Demacia, the Mageseekers hold the power to oppress magic-using citizens in the name of public order–by inducting and indoctrinating them, locking them away, or driving them into hiding.
Play as Sylas, a spell-stealing mage who has just broken free of his unjust captivity at the Mageseekers’ hands. Wielding the chains that once bound you, you must liberate your homeland from tyranny, one Mageseeker at a time.
It’s time to unshackle the magic.

Magic is everywhere, including on the battlefield. From searing flames to deadly ice, master a variety of spells and customize your unique play style. Brandish your chains and use your enemies’ magic against them, or bash them with your fists–the choice is yours.
Raise a Rebellion
Demacia is ripe for a revolution, but can you rise to the challenge of leading it? It’s up to you to find mages across the land and recruit them to your cause. Harness the power of your growing army to upgrade your base and unlock unique abilities.
Forge Your Legacy
You see the Mageseekers for the criminals they are, but not everyone is ready for the truth. Battle formidable foes and align with unforgettable allies, both new and old. Only you can uncover the buried secrets of Demacia’s past, and use them to change the course of its future.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story™" is a compelling spin-off that scores a solid 4.5/5. It combines a gripping tale of revolution, memorable characters, and robust action. The game takes us on a journey with Sylas, presenting moral complexity and challenging combat. Despite the high stakes political drama, it doesn't shy away from exploring personal motives, making it a standout experience for any fan of the League of Legends universe
It's a decent game with good mechanics, a bit basic but I never found myself excited about the story and about half way I stop reading.
Game-play wise i got tired pretty after a couple of hours, I'm not sure what i don't like about it but it's not exciting really.
I tried to give this game a try, but at some point I was not motivated to continue playing.
- Personally, I didn't find the story to be interesting (maybe if you are a league fan). The characters are just meh.
- The visuals are nice but not something incredible (none of the animations made me feel like wow). Then
- The gameplay & game feel is the main problem here, its not fun to control the character itself, its not enjoyable to pull off movements and combos and hits. Everything feels flat, destroying environment objects feels off. Hitting enemies and getting hit, also feels off. Dashing, feels weird as well. I can't pinpoint what exactly is the problem (maybe some screen shake or sound effects of visual effects or controller vibration are missing) but the overall feeling is just bland and doesn't want to make me experiment with combat or anything.
So, personally I found that the basic gameplay is not fun and its not providing a challenge or a story to look forward to, then I can't recommend it.
I had my FILL! Its some time ago I felt so thrilled in a Game experience.
Coming with background - knowledge of the League of Legends lore its so amazing to play as protagonist Sylas against other character of the game in E P I C boss fights.
4,5/5 Mechanics They put out various combos for you to use in the game. You have to adapt your fightstyle with every room you enter depending on the enemy combinations.
4/5 Storyline Dialogues and Accociation with the main character could be more fulfilling. But is this what you expect in a pixel art rogue like game? For LOL PLayers its great.
so i still give it 4 Points.
5/5 to Graphic. The created ambience of Demacian Architecture and ancient forests dragged me along in my imagination.
Seemed kind of cool at first, but really dragged the more I played it. It's like top-down, PS2-era God of War combat with some twin-stick brawler elements mixed in. I was a bit disappointed that the MC just runs around like a hobo after the intro. I was hoping for some armor and customization options beyond what spells to fling. As Machinators mentioned, I am a bit surprised to see how much 'Day 1 DLC' there is for this seemingly budget game.
After taking a quick look to see if I recognize any of the developers' other games, I see Moonlighter on the list, which I also didn't care for. I suppose, in hindsight, I'm not all that surprised I feel similarly about The Mageseeker now.
