Post end-game crashing?
I was a sucker again, and bought another $20 paradox dlc I would've been better without. With this DLC, you have a brand new way to end the game. It's buggy, but you can become the "Crisis". You're given star destroying ships, and you blow up stars to grind dark matter. When you have enough matter, you can upgrade a megastructure. When the megastructure is completely upgraded, the galaxy is destroyed and you win the game... If you've made it that far, chances are you've already "won" the game. Everyone in the galaxy declares war on you, except your vassals. So you'll want to destroy the fallen empires beforehand and have lots of vassals. Also, to progress in the crisis tree, you need lots of "menace" which you earn through battle, having vassals, and purging pops. And chances are, if you've done this, you've already cleared out the other crisis, and reached the "game over screen" (you won!), long before you've finished the crisis tree. And if not... you would've won anyway. You can also be declared the "Galactic Custodian" during the endgame crisis... not that you don't single-handedly take down the crisis every time. But then you can also turn it into the NEW GALACTIC EMPIRE!!! ... because earning vassals is too much trouble? I kept wondering, what's the point of it all. Also, I kept trying to use the espionage system... it's VERY boring. The new "First contact" rework, which came in the free update was nice. Everything else hardly mattered at all. There was no advantage, so far as I could find.
