Silence Demo

Very pretty, in a cutesy kind of way. But even after playing through the entire demo I have no feel for what the gameplay will be like. Is it a game, or a "click to advance the plot" interactive novel? I still don't know. Given that the protagonist seems rather a jackass - in several of the very limited choice situations, my preferred option would have been "none of the above" - I don't feel inspired to buy the full game. Being railroaded into being a jerk is not my idea of fun.

And a short one at that - but. Still. It makes me want to see the rest. The sequel to the Excellent Whispered World looks astounding. This isn't going to be a smash 'em up sort of a game. The action to which it is oriented is clearly NOT going to be of the first-person shooter or tower defense mode. But then neither was the Whispered World. I look forward to adding the full title to my library.

Featuring gorgeous graphics and superb voice acting, "Silence" is a fairy tale under the disguise of a simplified point-and-click adventure. No challenge here. You only need to navigate the screen, follow instructions and watch the narrative. The game plays itself from this point on. Despite the limited playtime, 25 minutes top, this demo leaves me with the curiosity for the complete title, and probably I going to buy it if it came to one of the regular sales of GOG.

My fiance and I just checked out this demo, it's short but i'm hooked. Will be purchasing in the future. Price seem too high based on the small amount of content shown in the demo. Looks amazing and im excited to be a part of this story one day, even if it is only point and click, but to know that, I would have to google it because the demo has no gameplay unless the clicking was the gameplay. We enjoyed the time it took to play! Will update once i purchase the full game.
