Eternal: Doomhammer 40k

Yeah, it has a lot of things from Doom Eternal, (which is great if you are going to copy, copy the best) the atmosphere, story is full 40k, I am please with what I have found. If you need a point of reference just check the trailers it is exactly like the trailers, with the only difference is that it's a little yanky, how yanky? Not much, just some glory kills mostly which are a little weird and have clipping issue but it is not yanky where it matters, like the shooting, because the gun play is phenomenal!!!

Best Clusterf### on the market right now

If you want a buggy, glitchy mess of a game that's a blast to play, or if your favorite doom mod is Complex Doom: Clusterf### then this is the game for you. Oh, and paste this at the bottom of your C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\Streumon\Necromunda\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini [/Script/Engine.InputSettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=False bViewAccelerationEnabled=False then save and set to read-only. Trust me, it'll help.

Payday 2 meets DOOM with a 40K skin

For me it plays as a mix of the aforementioned titles (which is not a bad thing at all) and is as visually impressive and true to the lore as Deathwing was. It has a Payday feeling progression system with points to earn to use on stats and abilities, and gameplay very much as fast paced and shooter focused as DOOM. It has everything a game needs to be enjoyable long-term (customization, procedural missions, variety of weapons et cetera) I'm a long time hardcore 40K fan and I love it to bits, the only criticism I could offer would be that the voice acting isn't AAA, but it's not awful either. Don't trust the filthy casuals, it's a good buy, get it.

Fun game and that is all that matters

A lot of reviews are dissing on this game for it's jank. While there is quite a bit of jank it doesn't ruin the experience and the gameplay more than makes up for it! If you like run-and-gun shooters or the 40k universe and are willing to ignore a lack of polish I think you will love this game! The good: Movement feels great. Weapons feel and sound amazing. The environment is stunning and very 40k. Level design both looks great and feels great with the movement systems. The bionics are really fun to play with and encourage you to move around and be aggressive. Weapon customizations adds a bit personalization to your playstyle but it could use some fleshing out. The bad: Some scuffed animations The occasional minor bug. Some weapons are just flat-out better than others (at least from my experience). Enemy AI and variety leave a bit to be desired. Story and characters are really basic, but the aesthetics and the environments make up for it (in my opinion). Boss fights aren't great but aren't terrible either.

Pretty solid dakka.

After a disappointing Deathwing and pre-release ads that were mediocre at best, I wasn't overly hyped for Hired Gun. But after sinking about 12 hours into it I quite like it. The movement is fast, and it allows you to double jump and grapple your way around the maps, in a style not too far off Doom Eternal or Ghostrunner, but without being as frustrating as either of those games can be. The Gunplay is nice and enjoyable, most guns have a meaty sound to them and the customisation allows for slight variations in use. My personal favourites were the Grenade launcher and Heavy Stubber. Augmetics offer some variety, and some of em prove maybe a little too useful (Augur array being a wallhack and the autoaim function being as OP as it sounds). The level design is terrific both on a technical and art level, the enormous and very grimdark aesthetic is very present. Now for the slightly bad stuff : The story is a bit bland, and I may be a bit thick but some of it still remained unclear to me. The voice acting is okay but the mixing makes it real hard to understand what's being said against the background noise, even in Martyr's End, the hub of the game. The grappling hook function is a bit limited and will sometimes refuse to hook onto something while you're plummeting down the game's many chasms. I encountered a single full on CTD, and a few bugs, mainly going beyond the map during executions and sometimes through glitches. For around 30 ish socialist dollarydoos it's well worth it, with any luck they'll add expansions, since the story is kind of open ended.
