Interesting, but way too long
It's been a little more than 3 months since I finished the game, which took me 18 hours. Which is my biggest complaint. For a visual novel-style game, that is entirely too long for my taste. Just like the fights. They just weren't engaging enough. Now to the good parts: The art is great and the world intriguing. The story was enjoyable and had some mystique to it. The ending is open for interpretion, which I don't mind, but you might feel different about it. Adding some stats and dice rolls to the experience worked surprisingly well (if I exclude the fights not being enganging enough for me). There are some decisions you can make, which influence the outcome of some storylines, but since I only played through once, I can't say how big of an influence they have. Just to be clear: The game is NOT bad, just not something I would be raving about either. And I don't see me replaying it. It is just too long for my taste as far as visual novels go. Edit: I posted this on October 5th 2025. The review date states June 28th 2025. How does gog know, when I finished the game? I don't use galaxy. Is this just coincidence? This is so weird.
