There is no way to play this game with a straight face. The voice acting is spot on rediculus. Digital Revolver did a fabulous job of updating this game just enough to work on newer systems, without loosing the original feel. If you are looking for the latest graphics, move along. If you are looking for a rediculus time beliving in your own justice over some roast chicken, this is your game!

This is pretty much a direct port of the Japanese game from 2004 on to your PC (using ROMware and Xbox emulation). For the customers who purchased this and kept having crashing issues, the issue is that Windows 8x/10 will default you to an integrated graphics card instead of your gaming video card. That is something you (as PC-Master Race) needs to make an exception to and add the game's executable to your graphics card manager (i.e., NVIDIA settings) to allow it to use the gaming graphics card and not your integrated card for "WILSON.EXE" (the game's executable). Anyone having trouble with some of the game should look up Murphagator's SGDQ2014 Speedrun for Metal Wolf Chaos (the original) as he explains some of the game's mechanics better than I can. Using his speedrun, tips, and some other forum messages, I was able to unlock all of the game's secrets, and being a fat 50-year old NEET-cel, that's saying a lot since I don't have the time, reflexes, or patience anymore for impossible garbage. I don't mind troubleshooting games. I don't mind crashes, I don't mind having to give up basic features like exclusive fullscreen to get something to work in an acceptable way. I do very much mind a game crashing my entire system, locking my keyboard access in the process and forcing me to hard reset, several times, because the Radeon control panel keeps complaining that the drivers just outright stopped working during loading. Devolver, I love you, but the quality control on this is, charitably, abysmal.

No matter what I try, windowed mode, forcing the game to use my GPU in Windows, it results in a crash at the first loading screen. I'm using a 5700xt and a Ryzen 5 3600 so not sure if it's a CPU issue, GPU issue or what, but if you're on similar hardware AVOID.
