A unique life simulation where you are a lumberjack building up a business and founding a lasting dynasty for generations to come.
Lumberjack's Dynasty is a mix of forestry, logging, business- and life-simulation with role playing elements. You start at a run-down logging camp which you slowly take over from your aunt and uncle as you restore it to its former glory. Along with cutting timber and hauling it to the mill for further production, you will enjoy various quests that will help you improve not only your business, but your character’s skills.
Choose your playstyle: quickly become a straightforward and professional lumberjack by purchasing, cutting and converting large forests into products, or explore the full depth of the game and experience the vast range of activities from repairing and renovating your buildings and vehicles, fishing, harvesting honey, and growing vegetables. As you build your business, you can socialize with locals, find love and start your own family.
Lots of fun (and hard work) is waiting for you as you build a successful Lumberjack’s Dynasty.

I just don't understand how this managed to get on GOG. I thought GOG was about Good Old Games or at least Good New Games. These bizarre "Anything Dynasty" simulations that feel like one-amateur show of cheap Alpha stage unfinished product are anything but good. Actually Farmer's Dynasty could have been a great product if it was not half-way finished batch of assets just like any other ... Dynasty game out there. I bet the author is already making another Dynasty clone completely abandoning every previous Dynasty game. WARNING: Based on previous experience do not expect this game to get updated any more than the current stage.
You have a shovel in this game! But you can only plant flowers with it (those will dry out if not watered, even if below water level near river?)...
Forklift: need to precisely load planks in dryer (probably harder than IRL due to camera prospective), was that so hard to add auto placement button, same as in transport wagon (one with crane)?!
To plant a tree you need lumberjack skill 3 'cause shovel is ment only for flowers!
To get that skill - buy uncles mill for 250 k, selling (dryed for 5 days!) planks for 250eur (7planks on wagon trip max =1750 eur aprx.)... That's nearly 143 trips and seven times more (1000) load/unload (into dryer) cycles for planks... So... Two tousand trips with forklift... To plant a tree...
This is "the" Bad economy balance.
Toplitz, hire Me as game-desinger.
One star for "fox potion"... And one deducted because no solar panels (unlike FD)...
Delivering food packets on buggy is really best buisness for Lumberjack?..
No two stroke oil mix for chainsaw, no chain sharpening, "authentic" sounds of tools...
Farm 250k on planks and pellets to get mechanic (3lvl) skills?..
Maybe mine 10000t iron ore to craft a fork?..
P.S. "No, you can't load planks on additional trailer. Wanna try selling logs for 50eur?"
Current status: not bothering to hack budget with ArtMoney.
Things I like about the game: It isn't just a simulation. It has a sort of story line and ability to create a family over time. The choices of personal vehicles as well as lumberjack type tools and machinery.
The graphic scenery is beautiful.
The things I don't like: Vehicles sink into the ground where there is no indication that there is mud or any reason for them to sink and you have to pay game money to get them unstuck. The game was in full release long before now.
There is no utility trailer for moving the lawn mower from place to place and since it goes so slow to drive from place to place across the map for the mowing jobs, it just isn't worth using it but then you have to gather the "hay" by hand.
It takes too long to make money in this game. I don' t play games for their reality but for a break from reality. It is a long grind that many may become bored with before long.
There are many problems with memory clashes that have nothing to do with the quality of computer you are playing the game on, causing lag and once in awhile, the game will freeze momentarily. I've experienced a couple crashes also and my computer is well above the recommended system specs.
Note; another update dropped just before I posted this but I don't know if they fixed any of the problems the game had because as soon as I started it after the update, I found that the forklift would no longer pick up pallets from off the ground as the forks no longer went down far enough so, thankfully I download the backup files and could go back to the update before this last one.
This game really seemed like it was something I would enjoy. However, the execution was flawed and left the game not worth my time. Driving vehicles didn't feel good, controls were clumsy, voice acting and dialogue were awful, the tutorial was inadequate, and the graphic pop-in was constant and distracting. It's a real shame.
I'm impressed with this game it runs nice & its fun you can learn from this game. I only notice minor bugs & the game is long & not boring
